TexMed Announces State-Of-The-Art Clean Room Manufacturing Facility

Fort Worth, TX (October 26, 2004) - In response to the medical market's increasing demands for cleaner USP Class VI extruded tubing products TexMed, manufacturer of medical fluoroplastic tubing products, announces the completion of a new Class 100,000 clean room at their Fort Worth, ISO 9001:2000 plant.

The facility features a newly acquired state of the art closed loop extrusion system capable of holding precision tolerances of +/- .0005" and compliments TexMed's existing Class 10,000 clean room capabilities. The extrusion system is equipped with electronic measurement devices to ensure lot-to-lot consistency and is also capable of maintaining historical production data and set-up information.

Specifications for the new medical clean room were developed in collaboration with customers to meet the medical markets requirements and concerns with eliminating bio-burden and ensuring repeatability of subsequent jobs. In addition, the new, dedicated medical facility enhances R&D capability and assist in rapid sample development.

TexMed specializes in the manufacturing of custom precision tubing, multi-lumen and custom profiles, heat shrink tubing in fluoroplastics, and high performance thermoplastics and elastomers. Additional services include Application and Material Engineering assistance, R&D Engineers and a State of the Art in-house test lab.
