TEXfluor® FEP and PFA Heat Shrink Roll Cover 1.25/1 |
||
|
TexLoc produces TEXfluor® FEP fluoropolymer roll covers with a .020 wall thickness for rollers from 1/2" to 12" in diameter and lengths up to 10 feet. In smaller sizes, longer length roll covers can be custom made. Our unique process produces a cover with no surface imperfections and with significantly greater flex life, which is especially important on rubber rollers. For roll covers in applications where high temperature and/or pressure is encountered, it is suggested that the cover be etched and bonded to the roller. Etched roll covers and special adhesive systems are available. Shrinkable covers of PFA are available for applications up to 500°F/260°C on special quotations. |

TexLoc's TEXfluor® FEP fluoropolymer
heat shrinkable roll covers are specifically engineered to extend roller
life and eliminate roller build up and picking. TexLoc roll covers are
used to reduce down time
in a wide spectrum of industries, including textile, packaging, printing,
paper, food and photographic, to name just a few.
Key Benefits of FEP Roll Covers
|
Most materials will not adhere to TEXfluor® FEP roll covers but even those that might "cling" to the surface can be easily wiped off with a damp cloth. Release of adhesives as well as paint, food products, inks and plastic laminations are self-removing in most cases. (after drying) TexLoc roll covers are easy to apply. You will need a commercial heat gun(s) capable of 500°F/260°C to 750°F/398°C , delivering as large a volume of air as possible. A method of rotating the roller is also needed. (Visit our step by step guide in the TexLoc Closet.) In most applications hand rotation of the roller on it's axis is all that is required. A machine lathe is preferred.
